Don’t Blame it on the Boots is a one-act play performed by Banbury Cross Players at the first Lighthorne Festival of One-Act Plays in June 2013. Since then Banbury Cross Players have entered a play each year.

Ophelia – Kate Groves
Kate – Kate Fricke
Eric – Roger Riley
Liz – Helena Boughton
Directed by Linda Shaw
No-one would have blamed the boots if only Kate had produced Macbeth instead of Hamlet and Eric had smaller feet. But Kate does produce Hamlet and someone wears the RSC boots but it’s not Eric because he’s been trapped in his dressing room all evening. So who was the impressive Ghost?
