UNDERDOG: The Other Other Brontë
By Sarah Gordon
An irreverent retelling of the life and legend of the Brontë sisters, and the sibling power dynamics that shaped their uneven rise to fame. A familiar story told with a modern voice which makes these three exceptional women very accessible for an audience of today.
Our Summer production runs from Thu 18th — Sat 20th June.
Rehearsal are also under way for the one-act play A Handbag which will be performed at Lighthorne, Abingdon and Wallingford drama festivals in June.
For more on our recent production including the latest review by NODA representative Andrew Walter see our Jack Absolute Flies Again page or take a look at Past Productions.

Banbury Cross Players is a member of NODA the national organisation for amateur theatre.
During the past 12 months we have become district winners of the following 2 awards. You can see more at https://www.noda.org.uk/regions/london/noda-london-district-winners-list-2026.

This follows on from our success in winning 2 NODA awards last year, details of which can be seen in the Our Country’s Good and Home, I’m Darling pages.
