Established in 1945, with a long history and a diverse range of theatrical performance, Banbury Cross Players (BCP) pride ourselves on producing theatre of the highest standard.
Each year we have a season of full-length productions, in addition to a varied programme of weekly Thursday sessions, including workshops, play readings, and more – all hosted at The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury!

Our one-act play for 2026 A Handbag by Anthony Horowitz has been performed at Adderbury, Lighthorne, Abingdon, Wallingford and also the NDFA National Finals in Bromsgrove. (See the NDFA website: https://ndfa.co.uk/)
Members of BCP were awarded prizes at the NDFA National Finals as follows:
Martin Crook (as Menacing Alan) was awarded Best Supporting Actor and Chrissie Garrett was awarded Best Director.
In addition, nominations were received for Simon Hook in the Best Supporting Actor category and Lucy Byford in the Tech. category.
A Handbag will be performed for the last time at our Season Preview on 17 September.
