Banbury Cross Players performed The Canary Cage by Diana Raffle as their entry to the 2015 Lighthorne Drama Festival on Saturday 6 June at Lighthorne Village Hall. It was directed by Michele Aquino Lothian
This spine-tingling drama sees three women locked in a cellar. Who will be the one who survives?

This play was BCP’s third year of taking part in the Lighthorne Festival which is an adjudicated and competitive festival where the winners receive a trophy and a cash prize. The maximum prize of £1,000 is to be divided equally between the winning group and a charity of their choice.

Unicorn Theatre, Abingdon
Later on the 10th June, the play was our entry to the Oxfordshire Drama Network Festival in Abingdon. This was where Michele picked up the Oxfordshire Drama Network Festival’s First Time Director’s Award for the production; an honour for Michele and BCP.
