ANOTHER MEANINGFUL VOTE
The penultimate part of the Play Selection process this year has taken the form of presentations from the Directors who have put plays forward for consideration. These presentations – to the members on our regular Tuesday evening sessions at The Mill Arts Centre – have been varied and interesting and, more importantly, provided valuable information regarding the concepts for each production.
Each play was voted on by the members in attendance (25 to 30 per night). The vote was a straightforward Yes/No as to whether the play should be considered.
Following are the Yes/No percentages for each play:
|The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time||Chrissie Garrett||89%||7%|
|The Thrill of Love||Tara Lacey||82%||18%|
|Nell Gwynne||Clare Lester||79%||21%|
|A Murder is Announced||Liz Riley||74%||26%|
|Goodnight, Mr Tom||Clare Lester||74%||26%|
|The Woman who Cooked her Husband||Chrissie Garrett||71%||29%|
|One Man, Two Guv’nors||Rob Hall||66%||28%|
|One Man, Two Guv’nors||Trish Thompson||58%||42%|
|The Revlon Girl||Linda Shaw||58%||38%|
The final part of the process will be when the Executive team make a decision on the final plays for the Season in April. Watch this space!
*For the keen-eyed mathematicians among you, there were some “abstentions” in the voting…
